It's not really so much that he's agitated, it's just- Overwhelming. He's very overwhelmed right now, and he doesn't do very well with that. Being overwhelmed tends to trip his breakers and provoke a system shutdown, just long enough to reboot and regain his bearings. But, right now, that's such a deep-seated sense of overwhelming that restarting isn't fixing the problem, but simply reintroducing it. It all sounds very drastic - and on one level it probably is - but he's quiet and letting her try to help and trying to sort it out on his own.
